Inspired by the gritty winds from the eastern Andalusía Chicos Fritos plays a bluesy desert-flamenco from the past. Old musical styles from the Oriental Andalucía: tarantos, zambra, fandangos de Almería and tangos de Granada. Their unique sound is created with harmonica and flamencoguitar. Influenced by the cinematic and desolate expression in Ennio Morricone’s music score in the wild west movies – filmed in the east of Andalusía – they mix blue notes and western sounds together with traditional flamenco.We collaborate frequently with the talented flamenco dancers such as Josefine Chiacchiero, Pia del Norte and Jossette Reilly.
