With Irene Pelayo Lind’s heart-piercing singing together with the music duo Chicos Fritos, the trio has quickly gained popularity within the Swedish tango dance community. The musicians are deeply rooted in the flamenco tradition and create a rich, orchestra-like sound through flamenco guitar and harmonica — the world’s best-selling little instrument.
In our repertoire Milonguera, we bring songs from tango’s golden age to new life through a personal interpretation influenced by both tango and flamenco traditions. We offer different concert formats depending on the setting and audience. The program can be performed either as a listening concert, as music for tango dancing, or as a combination of tango and flamenco repertoire. We are happy to adapt the performance to fit the festival atmosphere and venue.
